Senator Nan Rich

Wednesday, October 7th, 2009

Senator Nan RichSenator Nan Rich’s name is synonymous with the word “community.” She has established a reputation for being one of the most passionate and dedicated members of the Florida Legislature, and is widely recognized as the state’s leading champions of children’s and social justice issues.

Senator Rich became involved with the Jewish Federation because of her commitment to the Jewish tradition of pursuing social justice and engaging in tikkun olam. Nan believes that as the umbrella for the organized Jewish community in Broward, the Federation provides the vehicle to mobilize human and financial resources to assist those in need whether in our own community, in Israel or around the world.

“There is a Jewish mandate to care, to be engaged in the work of the community, and to undertake social action that will shape a better world,” said Senator Rich. “Federation gives me the opportunity to achieve that mandate and to make a difference in my community and in Israel.”
